Really good experience at wadi darbat. Not bad!

点评：The only thing that makes this place a great place is choosing the right time to visit. I visited in early july and I have got to admit. there was barely any water. We did not witness any waterfalls and the nice lake at the end of the road was a bit low on water. One of the boat merchants told me that the lake water level is usually higher. and this is because it is really the start of the khareef season. And I understand that. This place is amazing worth a visit. But I do not understand why the overhype?! There are many other good places and hidden gems in oman that I felt were a lot better than this place. Despite the beautful scenes and mountains painted in green. It could be that I did not visit at the right time. But even though I had quality time with loved ones. I recommend you rent a 4X4 since its really just mountains and going up the hill. A sedan would be fine but only if the group is small. the most iconic thing is at the very start or the entrance to the wadi, There was a small shop that sells omani mandi and cream pies with honey. If you're lucky enough and manage to reserve a table with a view on the mountains. You will definitely love it. I am giving this place a 5 star not because of the waterfalls or waters (because I havent seen any), but because of the activites I did. There is no need for a 100 $ tour if you have got a car and a GPS. but you can if you want to.
