点评:Spectacular 400 ft waterfall, one of the tallest on Maui. One of the highlights of a drive along the Road to Hana. It is reached by parking at the Kipahulu Visitor Center and hiking on the 3.4 mile out and back Pipiwai Trail. It is a moderately strenuous trail that is rocky in parts and with a significant elevation change. On the trail you pass a gorgeous Banyan Tree and a mesmerizing Bamboo Forest. At the end of the trail is the spectacular views of Waimoku Falls. It appears the trail ends but turn to the right and with some effort find the path that brings you closer to the pool at the base of the falls. An absolutely beautiful scene. You will need to pay an entry fee or use your National Park Pass to park at the visitor center. Arrive as early in the day as possible as it will be cooler, and you will be ahead of the crowds as this is a popular trail despite it being challenging to reach along the adventurous Road to Hana.
