点评：I saw the performance this evening at Halnaker. Curious to know why the actors didn't use the stage at alll? The audience could have seen them more easily and it would have given more variety to the production. The actors just stepped on it and then onto the grass! Very odd!
The plot was infantile and did not keep my attention. The actors worked hard on their characters and gave it their all, but the script and plot let them down. The plot was not interesting enough to keep my attention and there was not enough variety in the female voices. The three girls and teacher all had the same high pitched, affected way of speaking. It became very boring to listen to. I don't blame them, they were directed to perform that way, presumably. It was admirable that the actors could play instruments, but again, write some decent music for them. It was quite bland and totally unmemorable.
Quite a few people left at the interval. A 20 minute interval that came 1 hour 10 min after the first half!! It was a very windy, cold evening. The wind made it hard to hear the actors. Its a shame that the writing and directing did not give the actors a better platform. Maybe this performance should have been cancelled due to the weather conditions. It was not a pleasant evening, unfortunately. I couldn't wait to get in the car and get warm!!
