点评：A good winery with an interesting story.
This location was formerly operated as a vineyard and a lavender field. The current owners bought it with the fortune they'd made in finance, so this very small concern is a labor of love. When we arrived the husband of the team was in among the grape vines putting in a good day's work, and the server in our tasting was his wife. A team of workers was laboring to remove the difficult lavender fields.
So they're just starting out, and sometimes things go wrong. Our tasting included a Pinot Noir Blanc! The story was that a hail storm had damaged the skins of the grapes, and their vintner determined they could only make a white from them--now, they could have just called it Pinot Blanc or Pinot Gris but what's in a name, it was good.
We were treated to a small bowl of grapes from their first harvest--to educate our palates. Clearly dedicated.
They're having adventures and showing resilience. Here's wishing them great success.
