Magnetic Termite Mounds的点评
点评：They were indeed gigantic constructions by its creators who are the minute termites. We observed two types of termite mounds firstly the Cathedral Termite Mounds and secondly the Magnetic Termite Mounds each having distinctively different characters in their outward appearance. They were twice or thrice as much tall compared to the height of an average human. Structures were solid and strong to withstand tropical weather. The Magnetic Termite mounds having somewhat serrated top end, were rather flat with their narrow ends pointed towards North and South while their broad sides facing East and West so that one side will be in shade to regulate internal temperature. Mounds were spread out rather evenly and the area was part of a wetland where grass or reeds would grow. We heard some body say “the construction materials comprise of grass or reed pooh of the termite, their spit and earth”. A combination when dry becoming a strong plaster.
