点评：The gallery staff are rude and unwelcoming.
One told our 10 year old son that he was not allowed to look at the artwork and told him to “go and sit with your parents”. He had done nothing wrong yet he was made to feel like he had. This lady was very rude and has no right to talk to a well behaved inquisitive child this way. Ha had barely entered the room.
Then we decided to go to the unisex toilets.
While I waited for my husband and son, I walked towards a large window and a gallery staff hurried across the adjacent gallery huffing and puffing and shouting at me to make sure we didn’t enter the garden with our dog. She made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We had no intention of going into the garden and just wanted to look. We were simply waiting in turn for the toilet as we couldn’t take her in there. I replied that we were just looking through the window but she hovered until we left the window.
Then when my husband and son waited with our dog while I used the facilities he was also informed by yet another member of staff that we are not allowed to take our dog outside into the gardens. We again confirmed that we had no intention of doing so.
We decided to leave without visiting the attached farm shop. What a shame.
We would not recommend this galley. These people should not be in this job if they can not exercise politeness and customer service to people making an effort to visit and view the artwork. Coming from an artistic background myself we appreciate the value of art and the effort it takes to make a masterpiece. We left feeling very unwelcome and humiliated.
