点评:I first visited Loch Brandy many years ago as part of a school excursion. I have only just recently taken up hillwalking and decided to revisit Loch Brandy after over 50yrs.
Reviews of the walk are pretty varied, a pleasant walk for some, a real challenge for others. For me and any new or inexperienced hill walkers, this trail is clearly a challenge. I walk and cycle quite regularly, however I was out of breath 10 mins after leaving the Clen Clova hotel car park, which is the starting point for the walk. I made a point of stopping every 30 yards or so, mainly to catch my breath as well as to turn around and soak in the incredible scenery. Every second 30 yard stop I took off my backpack and sat down for a few moments. Took my time, stopped regularly and eventually reached Loch Brandy. A beautiful site with the most incredible views. After a picnic, then came the descent. Different muscles now begin to work harder, most noticeably outer thighs and those surrounding the knees. Care is need on the descent, however the scenery is incredible.
Well worth the effort, however please bear in mind that not all reviews of ease/difficulty may match that of your own ability/experience.
