Incredibly disappointed and upset by our first experience here. I visited with my child for the Wednesday WCMX (wheelchair motocross) session, which the website explicitly states is a "just turn up" activity.
Reception staff were completely unaware of the session. After waiting 15 minutes for the Centre Manager, Craig, we were told we had to register first.
While I was filling out the registration, despite me being calm, he repeatedly accused me of being "agitated". When I told him his customer service was poor, he barred us from the venue and told us we were no longer welcome.
My child has complex mental health and mobility needs. We waited a week for this adaptive session to give him a hobby he could finally enjoy in his wheelchair. Instead, we were turned away, leaving my child devastated and me in tears. The severe lack of empathy, poor de-escalation skills, and complete disregard for disabled/neurodivergent families from a senior manager is entirely unacceptable. Avoid if you have adaptive needs.
