Worth a look, but don't confuse the Visitor Centre with the Summit Complex!!!
Great Orme Visitor Centre的点评
点评：The Great Orme Visitor Centre is a very small museum located adjacent to the summit tram station. Admission is free so it's always worth a quick look. There are displays on the history, flora, fauna and geology of the Orme and a room off to the side with a TV displaying info on the Orme on a loop. At one end there's a bulb taken from the old Lighthouse (which is now a B&B so doesn't need the bulb any more) and outside there's a small nature garden. There are also public toilets inside, which are nicer than the ones up in the Summit Complex, and there's a small giftshop operated by North Wales Wildlife Trust. Points of interest include a screen broadcasting live images from a cliff face with controls which allow you to pan the camera side to side and up and down and also zoom in and out of the cormorants as you please. My favourite feature (usually) is the mini aquarium which normally contains local sea creatures. So far this year (2025) every time I've been the tank has had a sign on it saying "Sorry, there's no-one home at present", however I did spot a couple of very small crabs in there on my last visit.
n.b. I've noticed that some previous reviews aren't relevant to the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre does not have a cafe or other place selling food or drink and it's such a small building it's very unlikely they'd ever find room to add a cafe in. There is a cafe in the Summit Complex, which is a different place and is listed in it's own right on TripAdvisor.
