点评：When deciding between Ubud and Sangeh Monkey forests, I was looking for something less touristy, more mystique and peaceful. Our driver recommended Sangeh over Ubud, and it did not disappoint. It has everything that I wanted!
There was no crowd and the environment was so peaceful. The majestic nutmeg trees, ancient ruins and temple add on to the charm and mystique of the place. It reminded me of the ancient monkey ruins in Kipling's The Jungle Book. The monkeys are mischievous as expected, but not overly aggressive. The peaceful environment and the warm attitude of the guide left us a fantastic experience. It's not a big place, probably could finish touring the place in 15 minutes. But we ended up staying for an hour as we enjoyed the serene of the place so much. It is a rare gem especially in a touristy island like Bali.
