点评:The teleférico has been broken for 2 years. Now they offer trucks to take you down from the summit. We took a taxi to the parking lot and they insisted we needed a guide so that cost $100 and admission (?) was $2 per person. To get to the trailhead we had to hop over a short wall on the east side of the parking lot and walk through some brush. You can also access the path from the high school as we walked right past the baseball diamond.
The guide took us off the main trail and through sketchy, small forest trails before rejoining a proper trail. I am not sure why, and I wonder what would happen if we stayed on the main trail. At one point more than halfway up, it looked like the trail was closed but we went under the rope and in fact, the path was passable.
The trail was full of a kind of muddy clay that sticks to your boots. Many slippery sections. The final part joins the road. It was steep but not long, doable in a few hours if you are fit.
