点评：Perhaps I came with the wrong expectations as I am used to Mediterranean marina’s and especially those on the Spanish islands, where they are generally a hub for bar and restaurant culture and especially night life, which usually stretches around three sides of the jetty’s housing the expensive yachts.
But Cullen Bay is more like a private development built for the benefit of people who can afford to live here rather than as an attraction for locals and visitors. For example you cannot actually get to the Marina waters edge except for a very small strip on the far west side, which houses the one bar and couple of restaurants, and there is absolutely no chance of walking around the marina from west to east.
Yes it’s a good spot to watch the sunset and I also gave it an extra mark for the crocodiles, but frankly, compared to what I am used to Cullen Bay was all a bit disappointing and more resembled an expensive retirement complex than a vibrant entertainment hub. And if you do want to watch the sunset I suggest you wait until an evening when the Mindil Beach market is on and watch it from Mindil beach.
