点评：This is a really lovely and interesting castle. It is particularly interesting because it was built over a period of several hundred years, and the architectural style changes as you move from newer areas of the castle to the older areas. The furnishings in the castle rooms reflect the age of that particular part of the castle, so you can also see how furniture styles changed through the centuries. Unlike some castles in Europe, pictures are allowed in the interior, another plus.
The writeups for the rooms were well done, giving a great overview of the history of the castle.
Note that there are a lot of steps, as the castle is built on several levels. Be prepared.
The gardens are quite small, but very beautiful.
It seems to be a bit off the main tourist trail, so you likely won't be crowded if you visit. It should be better known, actually, as it is an impressive castle with a very interesting interior.
We ate at the cafe on the terrace. It was a memorable meal, for two reasons. The first reason was the atrociously bad service; we waited for about fifteen minutes before the waiter decided we wouldn't go away, and came to take our order. (We were the only customers at the time). It was fortunate that we knew some German, or we probably wouldn't have been served at all. On the other hand (the second, positive reason), the the food was delicious, and the setting with a view over the garden is beautiful.
So - you may want to skip the terrace cafe, but don't skip the castle. It's very worthwhile.
