Chapel Street Bazaar的点评
点评：The Chapel Street Bazaar has been an institution for decades as a place get lost in and find special items, quirky bits and pieces and stuff you thought you never needed but couldn't let out of your hands. The shop is a consortium of individuals with booths selling their items, with some gentlemen being the overall owners and managers of sales and running of the Bazaar
You can easily spend an entire afternoon or morning here ambling about. It had been a number of years since my visit, so I thought I would head inside to do some browsing. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon.
The stock hadn't really moved since my previous visit years ago. Prices are high, much higher than before. Some stalls looked like they had given up and just had cheap stuff, not antiques or collectables. Some stall owners were there, and I heard two of them complaining about life and sales going bad - not a good look and felt very awkward...so I kept moving.
I really did want to love it, but sadly, the magic is fading and it probably wont be long before its gone like a lot of Chapel Street that was amazing, fun amd lively back in the day (like 6 years ago). Chapel Street and the Bazaar appear to be another Melbourne Covid-19 victim. For the only time ever I walked away empty-handed. I hope Im wrong and the Bazaar makes a resurgence!
