点评：What an experience!
Another family holiday, another 6-1. This was an absolute dream of a holiday down on the English Riviera. As per other reviews/ experiences, I have to make it absolutely crystal that my relationship with the sun is poor - and not through lack of trying BUT nothing, and I mean nothing, could dampen my spirits at Breakwater Beach (and its surroundings).
Seldom do I fall asleep outdoors but here at Breakwater, I allowed myself a small snooze after a read of the newspaper in the blistering sun - all a part of the holidaying dividend. The prior evening I had ingested several tins of economy lager and the best part of a boccle of Sauvignon Blanc on our lodgings decking. Morning came and I roamed the kitchenette as if I was wired to the mains - gentle and steady start to the day.
As I prayed for the return of my health, very few suggestions concerning elaborate outings that day were mentioned but one small murmur uttered did strike a chord - BREAKWATER BEACH! all the way, all the waaay - so we did it. Despite feeling like a jockey's b*ll*cks all morning, the beautiful sea air, calming sound of the waves and superb company was the livener I needed.
This was four times lush de led! the beach itself was beautiful. This is quite clearly a popular spot for thalassophiles and just general tourists. In typical nature, after a short snooze and despite being a femto-kelvin away from 30 degrees, I had a short walk to The Vigilance (JD Wetherspoon) for a curry (Thursday) and a drop of nectar to bring me back up to speed.
Concluding; Zero costs incurred, good news! Excellent weather, beautiful beach and plenty goings-on for children and adults. In abundance, kiosks for a vanilla cornet - don't miss out!
