Stunning tribute and burial place of the first President of Cyprus
Monument to The First President of Cyprus Archbishop Makarios III的点评
点评：A short trip from the Kykkos monastery, is this stunning tribute and tomb of the first president of Cyprus.
You arrive and see a huge statue of Archbishop Makarios and then walk the path to the stunning chapel, almost pilgrim like feel to it. The walkway is lined with gorgeous mosaic style portraits which glisten is the sun.
Once at the top you can see for miles (if a clear day) and a separate path takes you to the armed soliders guarding the tomb.
It is a short visit (about an hour tops), but the walk could be a little challenging if you unsteady on your feet. There is a buggy that can take you to the top, although unsure if it costs anything.
