点评:Do note that the beach is prone to strong rip currents and heavy seas. Whilst the waves might look appealing you may get pulled further out into the bay. Just because life guards are around does not mean that they will necessarily recognise that t rip current is present.
On one day alone in late July six people were pulled out to sea whilst wave surfing, with life-guards right on the beach, furiously blowing on their whistles because they thought that the "swimmers" were disobeying their whistles! They were not - in fact they were in a rip current and trying desperately to swim back to shore. One of the six self-rescued (me) and the other 5 needed all available life-guards in the sea to effect rescue. Even the life-guards were struggling to get the "swimmers" to safety.
