点评:In the mid-1940s my father worked on the railroad in Dunsmiur and we lived in a trailer behind the baseball field. Over many decades I drove through town to enjoy my memories and finally I discovered the Botanical garden. This is the most wonderful garden/park on I-5 between Mexico and Canada. The railroad abandoned the small down and it struggled to stay alive and somehow the community created this wonderful park. Please do yourself a favor and get off the freeway and enjoy a small ghost down that has recovered in a spectacular fashion. Turn off the road between the ball park and an old locomotive, wind your way over a small hill dropping down by the river and park and give yourself time to wonder around this masterpiece. It has clean toilets and a play area so adults can enjoy one of the best gardens on the trip. I offer a 1947 photo of myself but can't find my photos of the garden, but google Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens and enjoy the photos and please stop and enjoy the park. And give thanks to this small struggling town for creating this wonder botanical retreat. Give more than thanks if they offer the opportunity to make a donation!
