点评:I walked from Badami to this temple along an ancient Chalukyan stone trail which starts a short distance beyond the Archeological Museum and climbs up onto the plateau. After maybe 30 to 45 minutes you will reach a small white shrine where the trail disappears. Keep to the right of this to find where the traill resumes. For 4 or 5 km you pass through a silent, rocky wilderness of dry scrub with views of the surrounding countryside. You are unlikely to meet anyone. Take plenty of water. The temple itself had really a nice relaxed vibe, full of happy and friendly people enjoying their day (it was a Saturday). The temple is one of those designated as Dakshin (southern) Kashi so it also has a special religious significance if you are that way inclined. Normally I don't like visiting temples very much, but this one was different. The trek made it even better.
