First vineyard visit
Yorkshire Heart Vineyard的点评
点评：This was our first vineyard and wine-tasting experience. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of sparkling white wine which was very nice.
Tim was very informative and personable and it was great to hear about the history of the vineyard.
The weather wasn’t kind to us, so we opted out of visiting the vines. However we visited the wine making factory and got to see the machinery used to make the wines. A slight note on this we felt that at times it was hard to hear Tim speaking because of the loud machinery and the number of people in the room.
For the wine-tasting, we were given a red, white and rosé glass with some nibbles. We liked the red and rosé, but the white wasn’t too our taste. It was very relaxed, as we were not instructed to pair the food with any of the wines it was more it was more individual preference and you could try what you wanted.
After the wine-tasting, we had the afternoon tea which was really nice. I emailed to let them know about my food preferences beforehand and they were very accommodating. The sandwiches scones and cakes were very tasty.
Afterwards, we went into the café/shop to have a glass of wine and we bought a bottle of the red to take home with us.
We didn’t drive, but we had no issues getting an Uber.
