点评：If there is a better guide than Konstantinos, we haven't met him. This man made our day trip from Volos to Meteora and Makrinitsa village a day we'll always remember. He picked us up at our cruise ship--where we watched our fellow cruisers get on a bus that would take them to Meteora--and we climbed into the comfortable Mercedes and began our personal guided tour. Konstantinos had maps and even films that he played for us in the car's back seat about where we were headed. And all along the way he was able to tell us about places we could see from the road, the history of this part of Greece... it was amazing. And when we arrived in Meteora he took us to the best monastery [with the least steps!!] and stopped at numerous locations to let us take pictures. And he always new EXACTLY where those pics should be taken from. Had we been on our own we'd have wondered around the mountain not seeing nearly what we saw with Konstantinos--and we'd have had to park if we had rented a car! This way, both of us could enjoy this majestic part of the world. And after Mereora--unlike our cruise ship friends who'd taken the cruise-sponsored bus--we had time to go to the charming village of Makrinitsa where Knostantinos knew the best place for lunch--the place the Greek's eat, not at all touristy. We had an amazing lunch for an incredibly low price. Then we were driven back to our cruise ship. We are so grateful for the incredible service Konstantinos provided. He's an absolutely charming man. And he's completely fluent in English, German and Greek. He also mentioned that he has a 16-18 person van for groups and he will custom plan tours. Oh, and he even gave us a book about Meteora to remember the trip by! Talk about going above and beyond!! We're already contemplating returning to Greece and meeting up with Konstantinos again to see even more of his beautiful country.
