Compton Abbas Airfield的点评
点评：We always stop off here on our way to Dorset for a quick snack for lunch but I was disappointed to find it's been taken over and although the new building is very nice, we were not impressed by the rather limited menu which seemed to be mostly pulled-pork or jackfruit based, expensive (>£10) and no light meals/snacks. We decided to leave and continue to drive down to Wareham where we had a very nice ham sandwich which was perfect for what we wanted as we were planning to have our main meal in the evening.
I wonder if they are potentially losing a lot of business as it has always been a popular stop-off point for people en-route to other places and I'm not sure how many would want a full and quite expensive meal when they just wanted a quick snack & loo-break.
I read a response to one of the reviews that said that they often have quicker bites available in the summer for visitors who want a quicker/lighter meal (when the BBQ and Smoking Barrels Cabin are open) but "often have" is a bit vague so no guarantee of this option being available (is it only open when events are happening at the airfield for example?).
