点评:Having lived most of my life in this area I have grown up with Shipley Park before it was transformed into what it is now, before any hint of rangers or rules to follow. I must have done hundreds of miles in and around the park as child and adult the car parks used to be free with an honesty box, could never tell how well used they were but over time payment machines were put in place and it has got more and more expensive , now £3.50 to some that might not seem alot but my wife and myself regulary visited the Mapperly Lake car park and use to do short walks for excercise as my wife has an issue with her health and cannot do distance but visiting several times during the week became to expensive for the short time we were there so we no longer park within the park,we havn't a blue badge. We loved the walks here but costs prohibits us the number of times we used to visit. The park is a good place to visit and we miss our little walks and I wonder if the powers that be think of the impact it has on some folk of how much they charge for parking.
