点评：Mastodon Ridge is a collection of fun things, including a nice miniature golf set-up, a mastodon statue, and a "Flintstones" style house and car, among other things.
As fans of roadside attractions, we stopped by here mostly to see the mastodon and house. It's right by the freeway, so access is easy.
The mastodon connection is real, as mastadon bones were found in Nova Scotia about 35 years ago.
In addition to these attractions, they also have a marker that they are halfway between the equator and the North Pole. This is likely true, as it would be for any location along the 10,000 miles or so of the Earth that lies at the 45th parallel, which also runs through Spain, parts of Italy, just north of Salem Oregon, and along the Montana/Wyoming state line. Still, it is fun.
Some of the photos on this site may be a little outdated. They've rebuilt the miniature golf area, and it is nicer than it appears in some of the older photos. They also have ice cream and various fast food offerings on site.
We came without kids, but the 12-year-old me would have had a blast here. This was worth a trip for adults - it's simply fun.
