Free, interesting small museum
Castillo de Santa Catalina的点评
点评:Much of the seacoast in Cadiz has been developed with either parks or very nice seaside promenades. Visiting this castle was part of a seaside walking loop, starting
from the Cathedral, then walking west and north along the shoreline to this Castillo, then north to the Parque Genoves, then north again to the Jardines Alameda Apodaca. It makes a beautiful walking tour, taking perhaps half a day.
This castle probably is only a secondary tourist site; I visited this castle only because it was on the way, but it turned out to be quite interesting. There are nice views over the coast to the east and across the bay to the west, and a small museum describing the explosion that devastated the city in 1947. There likely won't be many people here, as it is some distance from the old town area.
