We visited Simon and his brother after talking to a few of the other jewellers in Icmeler. My wife was looking to have her belated mum engagement ring repaired as the setting was becoming worn, and she was worried it may break, resulting in the diamond becoming lost.
The other two shops tried to talk her into having a new 14ct ring made along with a new diamond, and suggested that the old ring be made into a pendent.
Simon said he could repair the ring using the original 18ct gold and make it more robust by adding gold and changing the setting type to show the diamond off better, doing it this way he said he felt it would keep the sentimental value.
He also offered to Polish her eternity ring in the price.
On collection, my wife was over the moon with what he had done, and we were surprised to find that he had added gold to the eternity ring as it made them sit better together.
