点评:Whilst I was visiting Stuttgart I wanted to try the two railways that go up the hill. I got the tram to Sudheimerplatz and the station to the seilbahn is just a short walk across the road from the tram stop.
The seilbahn runs every 20 minutes and this runs until about 6pm. I got into the station and got on board the carriage which takes you up the hill. I was lucky enough to get a front seat so I got a great view of our climb up the hill to Waldfriedhof.
Halfway up the hill we passed the carriage going down the hill and soon reached the top of the hill. Whilst I was there I took an opportunity to pick up an English version of a leaflet about the seilbahn and the rack railway. This was really interesting.
When it was time to descend I got the train back down the hill in the vintage carriage which was built in the 1920's. There a wooden benches and as the train travels on a slant the benches are on different levels which is really cool.
If you like quirky transport methods then definitely check out the seilbahn.
