点评：We got the tritoon for a full day. Been boating for 20+ years on Bogue Sound for reference.
Family seemed ok with the rental, but i am disappointed and will not be using them again.
Why:
Both anchors had several immense Gordonian Knots in them that made them be ~10 ft long rather than their true length of perhaps ~50ft, Not possible to untangle nor even anchor and fish unless you were cast netting. Barely held us once at the beach. Numerous resets due to super-short scope pulling out repeatedly even though we were between Carrot and Sandollar islands with insignificant currents.
Top speed was 15 mph with me & 2 teens and nothing else. Once we put 2 more adults and a cooler, chairs, etc. Top speed was 12 mph. Even though it had a 140hp engine. All 3 pontoons were heavily encrusted with barnacles, likely influencing the drag.
Fuel tank is maybe 20 gals. Totally insufficient for a full day, we were at a quarter tank before noon and so we just eddy’d out at Carrot island rather than attempt a crossing to Shackleford and run out in the inlet/port on the way back.
