点评：I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Santo Horse Adventures.
I contacted the business in advance to arrange a horse-riding experience during my visit to Espiritu Santo from 5–11 November. I was subsequently informed that the business would be closed from 5–15 November because the owner would be away in New Zealand.
I understand that business owners have personal commitments, but I find it disappointing that there appears to be no backup arrangements in place to keep the business operating during the owner’s absence. My visit is short, and horse riding was an experience I had specifically planned and was really looking forward to.
What has made this experience particularly frustrating is the lack of effort to find an alternative. I asked whether anything could be done or whether someone else could take me riding while the owner was away. I have received no proposed solution and my follow-up message asking what could be done has been left on read.
I appreciate that a small business may not always be able to accommodate every request. However, I contacted the business ahead of my trip, and when I discovered the dates wouldn't work, I tried to find a solution directly with the owner. Being met with silence rather than an explanation or any attempt to help has been extremely disappointing.
Unfortunately, this has left me having to look for alternatives myself and potentially miss out on an experience I had been looking forward to during my holiday. Based on my experience, I was disappointed by both the lack of contingency arrangements and the communication when I tried to resolve the issue.
