点评:I visited with our OAT group on March 5th 2025. spending an hour with guide Wintana. Her mulifluous english made the enterprise easy to understand and engaging. I got the chance to demonstrate my clumsiness at one of their largest looms. we saw the dying of linen cotton and silk, the drying fabrics and the finishing. The founder who's of Canadian origin came out to talk to us as well.
the compound is a garden with banana trees and huge pepper trees for shade. there were storks circling over head and a feather floated to my feet.
In the shop there was a shopping frenzy, where the men waited patiently.
when I couldn't find the exact color silk scarf that I wanted, Wintana took the desired colored scarf from around her neck and gave it to me.
This is a wonderful calm oasis of nature beauty, community development and gorgeous weaving. The designs are changed by suggestion of both the weavers themselves and the international market.
