Somerset Amphitheater的点评
点评：The good stuff:
I felt extremely safe. Duplicate bag check and metal detector put TSA to shame. They even found my titanium knee replacement, which airports usually miss!
We paid for VIP parking due to my mobility issues. Access was convenient and easy to get into venue.
I called them prior to concert with questions and staff went out of their way to answer my questions and even called me back with more info.
Reserved seating has adequate leg room, and fairly comfortable with a blanket as cushion. Prepare to get cozy with your neighbor when seated.
The music was pretty dang awesome, with instrumental being a little overpowering at times on Mellencamp and Dylan.
Not so good stuff:
VIP parking cost more than our 2 reserved seats combined. Some people just need close parking, and a fee is understandable, but over $250 is a LOT!!!
Sight lines from reserved seats are nearly impossible. The pavement actually slopes AWAY from the stage, so the guy in front of you is actually above you. Video monitors are placed too low for distance viewing, as is the stage. Confounding this frustration, the camera angle for Dylan was ONLY full stage with not a single zoom or close-up for the entire act. Like watching ants on tv. When Willie Nelson came on, I finally asked the guy in front of me to remove his generous cowboy style hat, as neither I or the woman behind me could see the stage or monitors, even when standing. If your mobility permits, get the lawn seating and rent a chair, much better sight lines/room!
