点评:Parked on road near to picnic site as arrived about 11am and it was pretty quiet on a Saturday. The roads to Barley are very narrow. Follow the directions on blackboard near to the cabin cafe to the trail. Take care walking through the village as no pavement in parts or very narrow. Once you get on the private road up to the trail there is quite a steep incline to the lower reservoir - make sure you are wearing comfy sturdy shoes. It's about a mile from the cabin to the start of the trail. We saw 2 wild deers on the way up. Once you reach the trail, which is well signposted, there is another even steeper hill! We had printed off a map of the trail at home but we still managed to miss quite a few of the sculptures as some are off the beaten track. Some of the sculptures we did see were impressive including the unicorn, chain of witches and bats in the trees. We spent about 1hr and 3/4 in total. The views across the reservoirs to Pendle Hill are breath-taking. No cars are allowed up to the trail and there is no parking 3xcept in Barley.
