点评:This is arguably the best hiking area of Southern New Jersey.
Ample, enlarged and improved, parking, good trail blazing, separate routes for walking and mountain biking and unsurpassed views.
The bluffs are perfect for scenic picnicking - owning to many picnic tables spaced throughout the nature preserve on almost all trails. The dock on Maurice river is excellent for fishing.
For history lovers and postindustrial urban explorers the area includes many relics of piers, elevated monorail, old homestead ruins, storage bunkers - now all beautifully engulfed by the surrounding Nature.
At the most distant spot of the yellow trail there is a refreshing artesian spring with drinkable water.
The Bluffs are a paradise for birds watchers. There is even a dedicated bird blind on the orange trail.
The preserve is constantly and almost lovingly cared for, even decorated with humorous props . All signs are always crisp and clear.
We come here from the inception of this Nature Conservancy area and it is always fun and relaxation to be here.
