Great Holiday Golf Course + New Restaurant
The Hawks Nest Golf Course的点评
点评：Hawks Nest is a great holiday golf course. The 18-hole course is flat and is set amongst coastal bushland. Fairways are long and wide, with good variety, and some long dog-legs. The greens are beautifully maintained - actually, the whole course is very well maintained.
If you’re only doing 9 holes, beware the back 9 has the one water hazard on the course (I sacrificed a few balls).
The pro-shop staff are friendly and welcoming, it’s easy to book, and clubs, carts and buggies are all available to hire.
You will pay $35 for 9 ($49 for 18 holes) but if you just want a casual hit and giggle, they offer a great deal with ’Twilight Golf’ from 2pm. It’s only $25 for unlimited holes (although the fading light will start to beat you in the end).
The clubhouse is a pleasant place to have a drink afterwards, with a nice outlook over the course.
We were very pleased to see that they have a new restaurant - Sando’s. It replaces PK’s which had a series of poor reviews below. I recently had a good meal at Sando's and enjoyed my pan-fried barramundi (I have reviewed the restaurant separately).
