点评:I've been visiting Lincoln since 2001 and have passed countless times under the Stonebow and Guildhall, so our visit in March 2025 was long overdue. The FREE tour lasted about 75 minutes and was genuinely fascinating, with tour guide Colin sharing his in depth knowledge of the history of Lincoln and how the city has at times played a pivotal role in British history. The anecdotes about the various monarchs that visited (and chose NOT to visit) the city were entertaining as well as insightful. The tour starts with the council chamber which is still in use, and ends with a peek at some of the priceless artefacts and objects in their collection, from a sword used at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485 to a dog collar awarded to one of the city's canine heroes - Snips was a very good boy!
I would thoroughly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Lincoln - and you don't even have to climb Steep Hill to get there.

我强烈推荐任何访问林肯的人体验这种体验——你甚至不必爬陡峭的山才能到达那里。
