Tipperary Heritage Tour, Cahir Castle, Rock of Cashel and Waterford.
My Ireland Heritage Tours的点评
点评：This trip back to Ireland we decided to try to find out where my father's family were from. We had a general idea, but contacted Sean, Aisling and the team before our trip, and arranged a 2 day heritage tour to find some homesteads and see some cool sites along the way.
Ian took us on a wonderful 2 day adventure starting on the first day from our hotel in Limerick, spanning across county Tipperary from Croom to Moor Abbey, with a pitstop in Bruff to see the Fitzgerald home, and finishing up with a tour of Cahir Castle and a hike to the Swiss Cottage. We spent the night in Cashel and had a wonderful dinner that night at the pub where we made fast friends with a local sheep farmer who was in town for a conference. The next day we saw the Rock of Cashel, and then made it down to Waterford for a tour of the Crystal Factory and Reginald's Tower. Ian then brought us back to Dublin for our final 2 days in town (where we took in a Six Nations Rugby match between Ireland and Wales at a local pub, which was also fantastic!).
Ian was a wealth of knowledge on just about about everything Irish, and spending the better part of two days with him was such a pleasure. You won't be disappointed if you book with this fantastic family business for your next trip to Ireland, as we could not have had more fun on these 2 epic days of our weeklong trip. It most certainly was the highlight, and was much better than just tooling around to tourist sites without an expert to point out all the cool things we almost certainly would have missed. Getting out into the countryside was also a highlight for me, as it seems like a lot of culture is missed by staying only in the bigger cities while on vacation.
We will certainly use this dynamic family team again when we return to Ireland. Kudos again to Sean, Aisling, and Ian for crafting an amazing 2 days that won't soon be forgotten!
