Mayan ruins to Mangroves - Yucatan tour with expert guide

点评：We came across Lawson’s tours through online research. From the moment of contact Ralf was great - quick to respond and flexible to our requests.
A free weeks later we met in person for our first tour to Uxmal and Ruta Puuc from Mérida.
Ralf’s deep knowledge and understanding of the Mayan culture and history was amazing. Along with our main attractions Ralf added colour by stopping at a hacienda with a working tortilla factory - engaging with the locals in a friendly warm way. We just learned so much.
Uxmal was superb, brought to life by a personal local guide with time to explain and explore. Kabah and Sayil we had to ourselves and a guide.
On our return we stopped to refresh at a Mayan cenote - again we had it just to ourselves with just some locals.
Our second trip was to Celestun. Ralf suggested an early pickup to be the first on the estuary. We were. Again he was flexible to our needs and provided welcomed hot drinks and snacks to get us going.
The trip to the mangrove swamps was truly stunning. Teeming with wildlife but the highlights being a flamboyance of 30 plus flamingos, a basking crocodile, a tree hugging boa and a mangrove canopy with a flaming red stream beneath. Out of this world.
We loved our 2 day trips. A great guy - knowledgeable, generous, amusing and kind. Highly recommended!!
