Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre的点评
点评：Located at the end of the Main Street is this beautifully positioned Visitor Information Centre. When I entered the lady was immediately friendly and helpful... I asked if she would mind if I looked around and she encouraged it. Based on my interest in this mini museum she was able to refer me to another location that she thought I would enjoy (and she was right!)
But about this mini museum ... there is so much information and photography to look at. Amazing history of soldiers, railway employees, locals, historic moments including that of the Southern Cloud. This was the first time I had heard of this aviation disaster and was surprised to hear the details. I won't give away the details but I will say that if you enjoy history , you are going to love visiting this Information Centre.
You can receive information about accommodation, attractions, events, road and weather conditions. You will find a range of local produce from the Snowy Valleys. The centre carries topographic maps, Hume and Hovell Walking Track map kits, and books.
This should be a must do on your trip to the town.
