Disappointed After Years of Great Experiences
Grand Lake St Mary's State Park的点评
点评：We have been camping at Grand Lake Campground in St. Marys, Ohio for several years in a row, meeting up with family from out of state. In the past, it’s always been a highlight of our summer – friendly staff, welcoming hosts, and clean amenities made it a place we looked forward to returning to.
Unfortunately, this year’s experience was noticeably different. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of negativity in the air. It quickly became clear that the campground is dealing with budget cuts — the staff and hosts didn’t seem as engaged, and several campers we spoke with echoed our disappointment.
One of the biggest letdowns was the swimming pool, which had always been a favorite feature. It was closed all week except for Saturday, which was frustrating given the summer heat. The bathrooms and shower buildings, which were previously well-maintained, were not up to the standards we've come to expect.
To be honest, we ended up having more fun at off-site attractions than we did at the campground itself. While we have many fond memories from past visits, we sadly don’t plan on returning next year unless some significant improvements are made.
