点评：Sheer class. I bought a quality chef's knife with a bone and horn handle from here 5 years ago and damaged the horn by hot water. I figured that that my fault and if it was going to be repaired then it would have to be done by the same guy who made it. So I have just come back from taking it in to him. I figured that he would repair it and then post it back to me in the UK - they do international delievery.
Instead he took it from me on the spot, told me it would be better to have it all bone - OK so I ruined it the first time and bone is less suscetible to water.
I watched him remove the handle, regrind 2 new bone plates on to it, sand, varnish and told me to come back in 1/2 hour when the varnish had dried.
I did so and when I asked how much -this wasnt a bargaining situation as far I as I was concerned, I would have been been happy to pay what he asked.
He didnt.
Told me it was free.
I intend to take care of it this time.
What a Dude! never mind the craftsmanship!
