Cueva de Chufin的点评
点评：To see the way humans lived thousands of years ago, is a privilege.
First book online. There are very few tickets available, so move fast.
Then go to village Riclones. Near the football field is the small ticket counter. (On google maps, there are 2 points marked as Cave of chufin. Choose the one inland, away from the river to reach ticket counter.)
Park car here. Wait for the guide to arrive with car. She speaks English, but not very well. And if there are Spaniards in the group, the tour would be in Spanish.
We cannot thank enough our co-passengers who acted as English translators.
The cave is reached after a short drive and a walk across some fields and trees. Before going inside, we were given head torch, knee pads and gloves.
It was eerily beautiful inside. For a minute she turned off the torchlight. Blackness!
The red colours of the wall murals are getting destroyed with each visit, she said and the caves may be closed forever to tourists.
Photography no allowed INSIDE the cave. Take your camera along till entry point. (I regret having left mine in the car.)
