点评：I visited Panchalimedu at around 12 noon during the rainy season, and it was such a unique experience! The whole place was covered in mist and light rain — it felt like rain was coming from all sides. If you’re planning to go during monsoon, forget the umbrella — a raincoat is a much better option!
The walk up is easy and the view (when the mist clears for a moment) is just breathtaking. The cool breeze, the fog, and the light drizzle make it feel like you’re in a dream.
I also recommend combining your visit with Parunthumpara, which is just after Panchalimedu if you’re coming from the Mundakayam side — both places are worth it on the same trip.
There’s a small temple and pond at Panchalimedu and some basic facilities like a tea stall and toilets. It’s clean and not crowded, which I really liked.
**Tip:** Wear a good raincoat, waterproof shoes, and carry snacks and water. The rain makes it even more beautiful!
Highly recommended if you love misty hills and don’t mind getting a bit wet.
