点评：I've been coming to The Bear club for years now, it really is the jewel in Luton's crown and genuinely one of the top small music clubs in the world. The club is mainly a jazz and blues club but also offers country/Americana, folk, rock and occasionally other genres.
The venue itself is like an American juke joint was transplanted into Luton town centre. You can sit within four feet of the musicians or further back, but it's a small space so all gigs are intimate.The decor is eclectic with music memorabilia, old cameras, old hi-fi etc dotted around the place. The bands that play here range from locals to world-renowned musicians who play around the globe. There's also a monthly jazz jam where anyone can play/sing a number or two with the house band.
Given what's on offer, the price of admission is a bargain. You'd spend 3x this much for a London gig even in a similar capacity venue. The Bear also offers a wide variety of drinks including great cocktails priced about the same as the pubs around the corner.
