点评:We entered the park at the bottom at Rockfish Gap and planned to drive skyline drive up to the Harry Byrd visitor center about half way and then turn around. We knew about where it would be and watched but never saw it. I had used the national park app and only saw the one visitor center listed around there. Eventually after driving about 20 mins past it out of the way we realized that this is inside the Big Meadows visitor center area. It’s not marked as Harry F Byrd until you get down inside. It was a little misleading. It has a small gift shop and it’s where you can get your national park passport stamped. I believe there are other exhibits, restaurants, etc. but it’s not dog friendly so we couldn’t do anything except switch off to go in and get the passport stamped. It looked nice and is probably a great stop for those really experiencing the trails in full. Just know it’s called Big Meadows from the road if you’re watching for a landmark.
