Best horseback trail riding in Virginia
Mountaintop Ranch Wilderness Trail Rides的点评
点评：We went for an anniversary weekend to see the mountain scenery with fall foliage.
I have been on many horse trail rides at Ruby Ridge Ranch, Utah, Galveston, Texas, Gettysburg, PA and many others.
This gem of a ranch does it right. They have multiple options for rides. Make sure you understand the trail and check that your skill at riding is matched with an appropriate horse. You stop at a point and can get the trail guide to snap a photo on your phone.
The horses are well cared for and the barn is clean and well run. Tour guide stayed with the group and did multiple check ins.
All these things make me give the only five star review I have given for horse trail rides. Don’t pass this one up if you like riding on horseback trails and are in Virginia.
Plenty of attractions nearby including wineries, a lavender farm and a downtown area for nice dinners within a reasonable drive.
Cabins are limited but available for rent nearby.
I hope to return.
