Somkhanda Community Game Reserve的点评
点评：Somkhanda is situated near Pongola. The game reserve has beautiful landscape and true African bush.
The website to this game reserve is completely misleading. Perhaps in years past the reserve reflected what is portrayed on the website.
However, today, Somkhanda is suffering. I am not sure what has happened. There are no animals on the game reserve. We stayed for multiple days and traversed the landscape. There are very few impala, nyala, and a couple of giraffe only.
Facilities are run down, staff look like they are under pressure. Many anti poaching units.
Somkhanda needs financial assistance and guidance on conservation. At the moment, if you love the bush, and are looking for bush only wild camping, it will be a great experience.
Unfortunately, at the moment it is nothing like the website promotes.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They are trying their best to keep this reserve going with limited resources. Thank you to the team for all your kindness and efforts
