A fantastic, full day learning bread making skills from a professional

点评:Just got back from a full day’s bread making with Pat. I had a fantastic time and learnt a lot. A very hands on day - 5 different types of bread made and in various different shapes. Pat is extremely knowledgeable and generous in sharing that knowledge and showing you how to do things right. She cares deeply that you learn as much as you can and enjoy the day. I came away eager to repeat everything we made so that I don’t forget anything. Ruth (Pat’s friend and assistant) provided a lovely (restaurant standard) lunch (mains and dessert) and as many cups of tea or coffee as needed. I couldn’t wait to try the bread when I got home so a teacake was instantly demolished. So keen was I, I neither toasted nor buttered it and ate just “as is”. It was better than any I’ve bought from a bakers - fruity, spicy, tasty and moist. As soon as I’ve finished writing this I’m going back on Pat’s website to pick my next course (probably patisserie). There was one other lady on the course and we got along famously, so that was another bonus.
