Small but cheap child friendly activity

点评：Visited this place due to family going and we wanted a convenient place to meet up with them on a way back home and this was only a 5 mile detour, having looked the farm up on line I was not expecting too much of the place.
The rest of the family had booked a keeper experience for 2 hours before we got there, they had the opportunity to feel animals, walk goats, get up close and personal with some of the animals you cannot normally touch. The experience ran longer and they really enjoyed it.
The actual farm bit costs £1 each, the kids get a free bag of food which you pay for in the shop, there appears to be a kiosk at the entrance but it was not open, in reality there was nothing stopping you walking in to the animal area on the day we were there. I was surprised at the number of animals there was, it is not a massive area, but if you stop and look at each pen and the kids feed the animals it could take you about an hour to wander around. You can buy extra food for a £1 a bag if you want to.
There is a small picnic area with a tractor which the kids loved climbing on,
Further down the lane was an indoor play area, £2 per child, £1 for an adult, we did not go down there so not sure what was in it, but still cheap by indoor play area prices.
They have a farm shop which was your typical farm shop prices, £9.50 for a family size chicken pie (frozen), £3.80 for a jar of jam, they had fresh meat, no veg or fruit.
Inside the shop at the back is a small play area with picnic tables, you are only supposed to eat food bought in the shop, how well policed it is not sure.
I thought it was a good half day activity for about £10 for a family of 4 and if you bring your own food then it is one of the cheapest options which the kids will enjoy.
