Timisoara Tour Guide的点评
点评：It was a trip on my bucket list, for sure. My sister and I took an adventure into the country of Romania where our paternal grandparents were born and raised before they immigrated to the US. And we found the perfect person to guide us on this tour. Alexandra planned our seven (7) days with great thought and consideration. She helped us get a real feel for the lives our ancestors lived by visiting their villages, the churches where they were baptized and married, and the cemeteries where headstones were carved with familiar names. (Alexandra is so good at finding genealogy information and remembering it....I think she knows more about my ancestors than I do.)
We even visited Corvin Castle, a Swabian History Museum, the charming city of Sibiu, Charlottenburg - the only Circular village in Romania, and took a private boat ride on the beautiful Danube River. Alexandra drove us to places we would never have seen if we had attempted this on our own. She came to our rescue many times in restaurants, stores and markets by translating for "2 old ladies" who knew no Romania. And she did all this with humor and patience and a smile.
I am still hoping to find out if there is any more information about my grandfather and his family (none of us, including my father, ever knew him....long story!) so I am enlisting Alexandra to continue helping me on the rest of this genealogical adventure. We were very fortunate to have found her!!
