点评:The sculpture park, whilst showing a little neglect, is still a very enjoyable destination albeit an hour and a half from Joburg. Anton Smit's sculptures are huge in the main and the theme and genre have stayed somewhat static but the works deserve admiration. The gardens were bizarrely the highlight. Stone walls built high and beautiful and succulents set against the skyline certainly charmed.
The food at the ART Cafe however was abysmal. Possibly we ordered outside the popular but my broccoli and asparagus quiche was a leathery, nuked, store bought offering barely a centimeter high with raw pastry. It cost R60.00. Salad is an extra R25.00. Vegetarian offerings are almost non-existent here. My husband declared that his beef pot pie had all the taste of boiled beef with no salt or savory additions. On a better note, the staff were warm and inviting. We ordered bakes and coffee to remove the bad taste of lunch from our mouths. They were good.
If I ever find myself at the Sculpture Park again I'm going to emulate Marie-Antoinette and only eat cake.

花费 R60.00。沙拉另加R25.00。
